The initial concept and branding for Food, Fibs and Fiddles came together in 2023 with the inaugural event taking place indoors and featuring headliner Sean McCann, formerly of Great Big Sea, prominent Newfoundland and Labrador singer-songwriters Jim Payne and Fergus O'Byrne, as well as other local acts. The success of the event, as well as the ability to attract prominent artists has given the Board of Directors the confidence as well as the attributes and the experience to make Food, Fibs and Fiddles an annual signature event.
